Although McCoy's taste better, they use more oils and they also have MSG in them. Walkers are okay, but as long as we're talking ready salted here!

In response to:Egg confusion.

White eggs taste better than brown eggs but here in the UK we do not have any choice. Thats a very good point,,i wondered about this over a year ago,,but never really looked into it. I remember years ago when i was a kid in the early 70's we use to have white eggs, but now they are nowhere to be seen. I would say the brown is better than white foods does not apply to eggs. infact i would say white eggs were probably more healthier than the mass produced battery hen brown eggs we have nowdays. can anyone shed any info on this ?

In response to:Compliments

In this site you can request free webspace from free web hosting providers, take advantage of our community by exchange ideas and tips, sharing knowledge and techniques regarding the web hosting industry, computer & internet, web design, Web development and more.

One was from a gay guy who hit on me which I found very complimentory on the very shallow basis that he found me good looking enough to do that. I'm not actually gay, but the compliment still held for me :-)

The other was that a woman at work told me she always wanted to have a break at a similar time to me (and a friend called Phil) because she finds our conversations so fun.

I also feel very complimented that I have some very good friends who choose to remain friends with me :-)
By denying children these foods, they will eventually find their way to them on their own and hide it from the parents. I agree with you and think education is the most important factor...my children know that they should eat at least 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, they know why fish is good for them and the effects too much sugar and fat can have on their teeth and health. However since our children will have to make up their own minds sooner than any of us would like (i.e. school dinners, peer group influence by the time they are 8) then I feel it is best to educate them at a young age. And the odd treat is good for them too...I am a very fit and healthy 36 year old but I like a bottle of wine now and then or a packet of crisps. Everything in moderation, eh?

In response to:Compliments

Well... I kind of reckoned that he got all the vitamins etc he needed from breastmilk anyway.

I'm a bit of a heathen where vitamins for kids is concerned - I kind of think if they get a balanced diet they'll get the vitamins they need.

The Organix range was good when I was at that stage - I know they do banana porridge, not sure what vitamins etc is in there though. And they might have changed the formula.

And YES, there is a conspiracy to get little children hooked on sugar - check out the vile jarred food, breakfast cereals etc.

In response to:34!!

Yes, that is the best way of looking at it because the alternative to getting older is pretty grim:)

In response to:34!!

34?
I can't believe some schools have just given up on trying to serve a hot meal for a child. For some children this could be their only chance of a nutritious meal once a day (speaking as a person who was often sent to school with margarine sandwiches!).Thats where the problem is...its also a valuable chance to teach children themselves what they should be getting in their diet.
